Bonefishing in Deep Creek, Eleuthera, Bahamas
Alfred McKinney
Mr. Alfred McKinney is an all purpose bonefish guide located on southern end of the island of Eleuthera, the Bahamas. He can
accommodate the fly fisherman, as well those who prefer spincast gear. Alfred is comfortable with the accomplished angler
as well as a person who has never caught a fish in his or her life. Once a beginner spends a day with Mr. McKinney on the water
they will be transformed into an angler. He is very patient and will cater to your every need.
Alfred has many years of experience guiding anglers through the flats located around Deep Creek, Eleuthera,
his home town. The flats in the area offer lots of bonefish in the two through six pound size. The largest caught by an angler with Alfred
was a 14 pounder. The larger fish are there, but it is up to your skill to be able to hook one. The flats in Deep Creek are quite
extensive, and totaly uncrowded. In all likely hood there will not be another angler on the flats. If you in fact do find other fisherman
Alfred will move the boat on to another flat that is all yours. Eleuthera is not overcrowded with fishing lodges, so take advantage of
the space!
Alfred will provide a 15 foot Boston Whaler powered by a 15 hp Yamaha outboard motor. He will also provide fishing poles
for those of you who would like to bait fish. You are welcomed to bring your own pole if you prefer. You will
need at least 150 yards of 8# line and #6 hooks.
Accommodations can be arranged at your request. There are a few cottages and small hotel-bed and breakfast type places around.
