Eleuthera is perfect for the person who likes to search for the perfect deserted beach, or fish for that life long dream trophy. Eleuthera has not lost it’s personality to large investments and visitors love the island due to the friendly laid back personality.

On Saturday the 3rd of May the much loved Banyan tree at the Rock Sound Farm burned in a bush fire that swept through the fields. The Tarpum Bay and Govenor’s Harbour firemen probably saved the nearby houses by bringing the fire under control. While there are still live embers and small smoldering fires through the wood there is no further threat of uncontrolled fire.

The day was perfect. There was a gentle breeze as we sat on the deck at Joe’s Bar and Grill watching the ever changing seascape. Joe’s is located on a near perfect beach in the Village of Palmetto Point on the island of Eleuthera. It’s a perfect stop for a vacationing family. The menu will fit any budget and the surroundings will woo you into the laid back lifestyle that Eleuthera is known for.
